MOXIE Exclusive: ¡Yogamos! Bilingual Yoga

A community class for all, para todos. Class is taught in English and Spanish. Whether your fluent or not, Yogamos is for you! All levels welcome, come as you are. Class is donation based, all proceeds go to RAICES, a nonprofit agency that supports immigrant children, families, and refugees with free and low-cost legal services.

MOXIE Exclusive: MOXIE Masters

MOXIE Masters is an advanced practice yoga class set at a MOXIE Method pace. The class integrates advanced postures, breaks down challenging poses, and adds more postures in general to allow for deeper expressions.

Intro to Meditation

Modified Primary Series

WITH KATRINA BACCETTI

The Primary Series is the first of six series of asanas practiced in traditional Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga. The Primary Series is a 90-minute sequence that consists of 41 asanas, and over 50 chaturangas. Each of the asanas are linked through vinyasa (a system of coordinating breath and movement). The practice is designed to transform the practitioner by utilizing breath (pranayama), posture (asana), and gaze (drishti) to purify the body, nervous system, and the mind. Regular practice of the Primary Series will help students build strength, increase flexibility, and heal imbalances in the body.

Students who attend should have an established vinyasa yoga practice and a solid understanding of how to perform (or modify) a half vinyasa: Chaturanga, Upward Facing Dog, Downward Facing Dog.

Please be aware that this class may take up to 2 hours, as several modifications will need to be provided for some of the more advanced asanas.

ABOUT KATRINA: Katrina is a dedicated student of Ashtanga yoga. She was first introduced to the practice in February 2016 during her 200-hour teacher training in Goa, India. Today, Katrina continues to practice Ashtanga yoga regularly with her teachers in San Francisco.

Handstands + Arm Balancing

WITH LEXI COTCAMP

Interested in learning how to go upside down? Join us in exploring the dynamics of yoga arm balancing & inversions, including postures like crow, headstand, handstand, and more. This 2-hour workshop will progressively integrate both strength & flexibility-building movements into a power vinyasa flow, preparing the body & mind to enter more challenging asanas. Throughout practice, students will learn how to creatively approach these postures step-by-step, with an emphasis on safe alignment and breath connection. The workshop will conclude with aromatherapy relaxation and impart students with a deeper understanding of how they can safely integrate inversions into their own practice.

This workshop is appropriate for students of all levels, with modifications and variations offered at every step of the way.

Fire + Ice: Yang to Yin Yoga

Fire it up to cool it down. First, heat up your body with a fast paced, strength building Yang practice with Elaine. Then cool it down with deep, releasing Yin stretches with Laura. Expect tons of hands on adjustments from this tag-team duo and kickstart your practice in 2020!
