MOXIE Mellow is a slow paced class with the goal of allowing students to decompress. The focus will be on stretching tight muscles in a space of relaxation. With the use of breathwork, straps, blocks and blankets, you will feel restored and ready to rock your week. MOXIE Masters is an advanced practice yoga class set at a MOXIE Method pace. The class integrates advanced postures, breaks down challenging poses, and adds more postures in general to allow for deeper expressions.

Let's Go Upside Down: Inversions!

WITH CARA SMITH

Inversions can help us switch up our perspectives and give us energy by literally turning our world upside down. This 90 minute workshop will offer: a class specifically designed to strengthen the areas of the body needed to prep for inversions, an ample amount of safe guidance, hands on assists, and play time in order to feel the foundations necessary to go upside down. We will explore Sirsasana A & B (headstand), Adho Mukha Vrksasana (handstand), Pincha Mayurasana (feathered peacock), and Salamba Sarvangasana (shoulder stand).

Breathwork and Yin

WITH KRISTIN WALSH

Learn and experience the power and subtlety of these two powerful yogic techniques.  Gain knowledge about the functions of breath, and how to utilize it in your yoga practice.  Demystify the ujjayi breath and discover other useful breathwork techniques. In Yin Yoga we approach asana slowly - find our edge, practice stillness and hold poses for an extended period of time.  This stillness allows us time to go within and explore what is going on in life. When the breath slows down, and when the body slows down, the mind also slows down. From this stillness clarity is cultivated, and the body and mind are free to move, create or discard what is necessary to move forward into the next season or phase of life. 

This workshop is for anyone looking to slow down, nourish the body through acupressure points via compression of the meridian lines, enhance and balance prana.   This workshop is all levels and is welcome to anyone no matter their experience. Please wear loose fited clothing, nothing compressive around the belly or waist.

Foundations of Arm Balances

WITH ALIA BOYNTON

All about arm balances! This 2-hour workshop is designed to help students of all levels gain a deeper understanding of how to work towards all types of arm balances, regardless of previous experience. This carefully crafted format will begin by breaking down the essential foundations of strength and alignment for all arm balances as a general whole. Once the foundation is set, students will workshop a few specific arm balances and drills to build strength and confidence when balancing on the hands. The workshop will additionally include interactive demonstrations of how to integrate arm balances into a regular practice. All participants will leave with a toolkit of concrete and accessible ways to both break the fear boundary and build strength to practice arm balances in their own time. This workshop is very beginner-friendly, and adaptable for all levels. Modifications and progressions will be discussed in detail.

Foundations of Inversions: Pincha Mayurasana and Handstand

Join us in the journey towards inversions! Whether you have been working on inversions for years or have always wanted to try but don't know where to start, this workshop will break down the foundations of balancing upside-down to help you get outside of your comfort zone in a powerful way. This 2-hour Workshop will cover the essential structures of alignment for a safe and strong inversion practice, and will then progress through a variety of drills to build strength and confidence in both Handstand and Pincha Mayurasana. The majority of work will be done using the wall for support and added benefit, with the option to move away from the wall for those who are interested. This workshop will be very beginner friendly and accessible for all levels. More than simply trying to master the poses, this workshop is about embracing a challenge, moving through fear, and trusting your own strength!
