Do I need to sign up for class beforehand?

Reservations are not required.  However, classes can fill up and walk-ins will not be permitted if a class is full.

What should I bring to class?

You will need a yoga mat.  Water and hand towels are optional but nice (our classes are heated to 80°F).  We have all of these things available in studio for rent or purchase (free for Unlimited Members; otherwise $2 for yoga mat rentals and $1 for hand towel rentals).  As you develop more of a regular practice, we recommend purchasing your own mat - ask us for recommendations!

Is this Hot Yoga?

No.  Our classes are warm, but not quite hot.  Our rooms are set to 80°F but may vary based on outside conditions and attendance.  Hot Yoga is typically 105-108 °F.

I am running late; will I be able to take class?

Each of our locations is relatively small and often times we cannot support both front desk workers and teachers.  This means that in order to protect the facility and our clients' belongings, we need to lock the door at class start time.  Please plan accordingly to ensure you arrive before the class start time.

What is your reservation/cancellation policy?

Students registered directly with us through MINDBODY can cancel or change their reservation up to one hour before class start time.  If you have signed up through another service (i.e. ZenRez/ClassPass), the cancellation is subject to their policies.

Can I share my 5 or 10-class packages with a family member?

Yes.  Class packages may be shared between accounts.  Email us at with both of your names so we can set this up for your MINDBODY accounts.  For a one-time use scenario, the easiest thing to do is to arrive 5-10 minutes before class.

Does MOXIE sell gift cards?

Yes.  The easiest way to purchase a gift card is through our online store here.  We also sell gift cards in studio.

I am pregnant; can I come to class?

If you have an established power, ashtanga vinyasa, or athletic vinyasa yoga practice, yes.  Otherwise, it is not recommended.  We recommend checking out a MOXIE Prenatal workshop if you are interested in learning how to modify your yoga practice during your pregnancy.


I want to use one of my guest passes; how do I reserve my guest a spot?

Reservations are not available for member guests so please register yourself for class and then arrive 10-15 minutes early for busier times to ensure that your guest is able to register for class.   Guests are only permitted when the member is taking the same class.

Can I pause my membership?

Yes.  Email to let us know the dates you would like to pause your membership from.

How do I cancel my membership?

Does MOXIE offer private lessons?

Is there bike parking available?

We have bike racks directly outside of the 20th Street and Bernal Heights locations.

Is there car parking available?

There is street parking available around the 20th St. & Nob Hill studios and metered parking around the Bernal Heights studio.  As with any driving situation in San Francisco, please give yourself plenty of time to find parking especially around the Bernal Heights and Nob Hill neighborhoods.  There is usually street parking available around the 20th St. location.

Are there showers available?

No, however, we do have changing rooms and restrooms.
